Panic on the Streets of London

Explosions rock the London Underground this morning. Crap. But that’s not what I’m writing about. What I find interesting is our Homeland Security Department’s response:

"The Department of Homeland Security does not have any intelligence indicating this type of attack is planned in the United States.”
Wait, so either you guys had intelligence that this was going to happen in London and didn’t do anything about it, or you didn’t know about the London thing and your lack of intelligence regarding U.S. attacks is completely meaningless. Either way, I don’t feel too safe. But I took the subway this morning nevertheless.
