Just a suggestion, but if you're going to make the main text area semi-transparent, you should probably up the font size and weight so that the dots behind the text don't get too distracting as you are trying to read your shoddy posts...
What browser are you using? On my screen, there are no dots behind the text. I do appreciate the feedback though.

Yeah, I see some translucent dots. They're not nearly as irritating as the content.
Sorry... forgot to check back in... I'm using Safari... but I also see them in Mozilla... It seems not as bad now... did you make a change to the stylesheet to fade them back a little more?
It would be a nice feature to get a quick email saying someone responded to the post you left a comment in... I know there is the Atom feed, but I'm old fashioned I guess...
