Keepin’ It Real
I don’t even have a comment. Just read it for yourself.
Sen. Arlen Specter (R-Pa.) says the NFL and Philadelphia Eagles are being unfair to wide receiver Terrell Owens, and he just might bring the matter to the antitrust subcommittee of the Senate Judiciary Committee he chairs, so there. Just because Owens is a spoiled brat who humiliates his teammates and ruins their season is no reason for them to prevent him from playing or talking to other teams; it's "vindictive and inappropriate," said Specter. (The Eagles deactivated Owens on Sunday after a four-game suspension; an arbitrator ruled the action was supported by terms of the player's contract.)And we thought the steroid hearings were a waste of time. Arlen Spector’s constituency now consists of only one spoiled asshole football player who lives in New Jersey during the off-season? Would that he cared how inappropriately Wal-Mart treats its employees. How about how inappropriately the Pentagon treats its employees?
I guess I did have a comment. Dammit.
