A Few Bad Apples

Not to beat a dead horse or anything, but look what comes out today in the Washington Post. An Australian citizen was shipped off to Egypt for six months of torture. Now he's back in Cuba bleeding all over the place, no one will help him, and he has another appointment to head back to Egypt.

Three Britons released from the prison -- Rhuhel Ahmed, Asif Iqbal and Shafiq Rasul -- have said Habib was in "catastrophic shape" when he arrived. Most of his fingernails were missing, and while sleeping he regularly bled from his nose, mouth and ears but U.S. officials denied him treatment, they said.

Jesus H. Christ! Will someone in Washington with a soul please put a stop to this?! How long must this continue??

And hey lazy-ass Americans. Yeah, I'm talking to you! You know why they keep getting away with this? Because you don't fucking care. You aren't getting off your ass to write a letter to a newspaper or call your senator, or read a newspaper instead of watching The Bachelorette. They KNOW you're not paying attention. They know that you lose interest after a few days. They know they can rely on your ignorance. Prove them wrong! Save an innocent man from being tortured. Only we have the power.
